Quick start

Create or join a league, import from Sleeper, and learn the dashboard in about ten minutes.

Capr is dynasty fantasy football with a real salary cap: every player is on a contract, every contract counts against your cap, and every roster move — waivers, trades, cuts, extensions — is a cap decision. This guide gets you from zero to a working league.

Create a league or join one

If you're the commissioner, create a league and the setup wizard walks you through the big decisions: cap size, roster slots, scoring, contract rules, and draft format. Every choice ships with a sensible default, so you can accept the defaults now and fine-tune later in the Settings Hub — nothing is locked in.

If you're joining an existing league, use the invite link your commissioner sent you, or enter the league code on the join page. You'll claim a team, set a team name, and land on your roster.

Importing from Sleeper

Already running a dynasty league on Sleeper? You don't have to start over. The import wizard pulls in your teams, rosters, and draft picks, and the full migration flow layers contracts and cap rules on top — so your league keeps its history and gains a salary cap. The migration runs in six steps:

  1. Cap settings — choose your cap size and core contract rules for the new league.
  2. Contracts — assign salaries and years to every rostered player, by hand or with assisted pricing.
  3. Validate — Capr checks every roster against the cap and flags anything that doesn't fit.
  4. Verify — review the imported data side by side with Sleeper before anything goes live.
  5. Invite — send each manager a link to claim the team that was imported for them.
  6. Go live — flip the switch and your league is running on Capr.

Understanding your dashboard

Your home dashboard shows every league you're in, and the "Needs You" section floats anything waiting on you to the top: a trade offer to answer, a lineup slot to fill, a bid you've been outbid on, an offseason task to complete. If Needs You is empty, you're caught up — that's the whole point of it.

You can pin leagues to keep them at the top of the list. If you play in several leagues, pin the one or two that are in-season or mid-draft so your busiest league is always one tap away.
